Kashmir is a woody, Musky, floral, aromatic scent created for Men and Women in 2024 by perfumers Linda Pilkington and Geza Schoen.
Review
This scent opens with a delicate floral thread from the Rose and Blue Poppy in the heart, and slowly unfolds into a melange of spices and crisp woods that conjures images of crisp, clean, mountain air. It maintains that mountainous aroma as it develops into an elegant Musky floral scent that borders between casual elegance and formal sophistication. It is such a beautiful scent that is wearable for so many occasions. You can wear it to the office, out for drinks, on a date, to a wedding, or anytime you want to feel alluring. It’s not quite a casual occasion scent, but is suitable for all seasons and will last. It shares similarities with Creed Silver Mountain Water.
Inspiration
Kashmir is inspired by the Valley of Kashmir, in India, and the forests, glaciers, and lakes of the area.
Notes
Though it is found in the heart, Rose can be felt almost immediately once this scent is sprayed. Very quickly after, Bergamot and Pink Pepper brighten a spicy blend of Cardamom, Coriander Seed, and Saffron. Himalayan Fir blends with Deodar(Cedar), Sandalwood, and Cashmeran blend with the spices to create an aroma that mimics the crisp, clean, refreshing aroma of snowy mountains. This aroma settles as the floral heart begins to develop, releasing the gentle nuances of Jasmine, Blue Poppy, and Iris, all blending with the Rose that opened the scent. Benzoin and Vanilla add a faint sweetness that helps to mellow any sharpness you might expect to find here. This paves the way for Patchouli, Myrrh, Incense, and Musk, which add to the earthy, sensual, quality of everything. In the end you get a Musky, Floral, elegant aroma.
