London Spice is an aromatic, spicy, Fougere scent created for Men and Women in 2021 by perfumer Francois Merle-Baudoin.
Review
This scent is fresh and spicy and clean. It almost feels like it has an aquatic essence to it, and it does briefly, but after a few minutes it unfolds into a Fougere scent with a soft spice essence. The Citruses and Spearmint blend effortlessly into the Lavender, flowers, and Marine Notes, and then into the gentle earth tones. The spices are subtle and add the perfect little pop at the end. It feels casual and elegant at the same time. You can picture a rich playboy wearing this on a casual day out shopping in London’s Burlington Arcade. It has an intimate feel to it, but will last. It can be worn pretty much any time, to any place, and for any occasion, and will work well in any weather. Though it is a universal fragrance, it leans slightly masculine in style. It has been compared to Platinum Egoiste by Chanel.

Inspiration
London Spice takes inspiration from the iconic sartorial elegance of London. It pays homage to another Fragrance du Bois scent, London Oud, but with a more casual, light, and invigorating essence. And no Oud.
Notes
At first sniff, you think this is going to be a warm aquatic scent due to the pop of Lemon and Bergamot blending with the Marine Notes. Very shortly after though, these notes blend with Spearmint, Lavender, flowers, and Patchouli, creating an elegant Fougere essence. The underlying aquatic essence keeps it from leaning to barbershopy. Cedarwood adds a gentle earthy woodiness, while Nutmeg and Cardamom add gentle pop of spice to the end. It is an elegantly casual scent.
