Review
Upon first sniff, this scent smells just like a glass of Rosé Champagne. Perhaps it’s a combination of the tart Raspberry and the crisp Cedarwood that creates that fizzy sparkly quality, but they got it pretty spot on. You can briefly smell the Pear, but it’s kind of an overall berry-like sweetness in the opening. The scent stays bright and sweet as the richer nuances of the Geranium and the Rose unfold, followed closely by subtle hints of the Vanilla and Musk. The Amyris(Sandalwood) slowly sets in as the scent dries down, adding a woody element without becoming too much. After some time on the skin, the sweetness comes back, though lighter, and you get more hints of the Vanilla and Pear. It keeps transitioning back and forth between light and fruity, warm and rosy with a hint of a petally or powdery nuance, and a gentle woodiness, which keeps the senses captivated every second this scent is on the skin. It feels delicate and breezy, but also mysterious and romantic. It almost has an essence as though you’re sipping on your glass of Rosé Champagne in a rose covered wooden gazebo as a cool and gentle breeze sweeps in. Though it has a gentle feminine lean to its style at times, this is a universal fragrance that can be worn by anyone. Its lightness makes it feel elegantly casual, and has a spring and summer vibe to it. It does have a bit of a lighter essence to it, but its Parfum concentration makes it last on the skin. Inspiration
Louis XV 1722 Rosé was inspired by the Maison de Venoge Louis XV Rosé Champagne. It captures the sparkle of the bubbles, the pink tint of the Rosé, and that crisp moment of sunrise over the gardens of Versailles.
Notes
This scent opens bright and sparkling, like the bubbles of a bottle of Rosé Champagne. This is most likely a blend of the Raspberry and Cedarwood. Notes of Blackcurrant and Pear keep things sweet as this fizzy essence dissipates, creating a berry-like essence. In the heart, Geranium and Rose combine to add a delicate whisper of Roses. The faintest passing of Vanilla keeps the sweetness lingering under the surface as a touch of Musk adds a wispy sensual essence. Amyris(West Indian Sandalwood) comes in at the end, adding a rich, but subtle, woody essence.
