Nawab of Oudh Intensivo is an aromatic, woody, spicy scent created for Men and Women in 2015 by perfumer Geza Schoen.
Review
This scent begins fresh and green. The spices and flowers slowly morph into something reminiscent of Incense, before blending into a balmy, earthy drydown. Even after the warmth sets in, the citruses and spices linger and reappear later. It is a truly intriguing scent that continues to change and impress. Though it boasts a decent amount of woods and spices, it is not too heavy, and will work as a ‘beginner’ scent for those interested in Oudh and/or Middle Eastern style scents. It is elegant and sophisticated, and can be worn in an office setting, for a romantic dinner, cocktails with friends, or dressed up for professional or formal occasions. It has a darkness and a lightness that makes it last beautifully. It can be worn in all seasons, but is best suited for Fall, Winter, and Spring. It has been compared to Sensuous Noir from Estee Lauder. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Nawab of Oudh Intensivo was inspired by the Nawabs (Rulers) of India, who were cultured, intellectual, and patrons of the arts.
Notes
Green Notes blend with Bergamot and Orange Absolute before diving into a spicy infusion of Cardamom, Pimento, Bay, and Cinnamon. The spices are gently mellowed with Rose, Magnolia, and Hedione, resulting in an Incense-like aroma. The Rose becomes more prominent, blending with Ambergris, Labdanum, and Oudh. This sultry concoction intoxicates the senses, before mellowing as the citruses creep in from the opening. The spices begin to linger back in, and final touches of Musk and Vetiver bring an earthiness that keeps everything revolving.
