Noble VII Rock Rose

Noble VII Rock Rose is an aromatic, Amber, Fougere scent created for Men and Women in 2016 by perfumer Mike Parrott.

Review

This scent is refreshingly aromatic. It has a classic Fougere style to it with Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender and Herbs. Tarocco Orange adds an extra layer of brightness in the opening, Violet a kind of smoothness in the middle, and Saffron a nice pop of sweet spice in the dry down. A note of Black Pepper, while found in the opening of the fragrance, can be felt infused within each layer of this scent. The Rock Rose used in this scent is actually a type of Cistus(Labdanum), and has a resinous quality that is warm, balmy and Ambery. The Rock Rose gives the dry down of this scent a warm and Ambery finish that gives the Fougere essence a sensual quality. It feels elegant and captivating, mature and confident, and something that you will find yourself wanting to smell over and over again. It is a scent that is a naturally perfect transition from day to night wear. It is perfect for almost any time, place or occasion, but its rich and sophisticated vibe feels better suited for formal occasions or times when you want to make an impression. This sensual warmth also makes it a great choice for the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons, though it’s almost perfect for year-round wear. While it is a universal scent, it does have a slight Masculine lean to it. It is comparable to scents like Bond No.9 Montauk, Initio Parfums Prives Wild Rush, Mind Games Gambit and Roja Elysium Noir.

Inspiration

Noble VII Rock Rose is inspired by the Rock Rose, AKA Cistus, which is a warm, balmy, Ambery flowering shrub. Discovered along the Mediterranean shores, it was once a treasured ingredient of British nobility during the Queen Anne era. 

Notes

This scent opens with the bright essences of Tarocco Orange and Bergamot. These citrus essences blend with Clary Sage, Lavender and Herbs to create a bright and inviting Fougere scent. Black Pepper is felt later in the dry down, adding a type of spicy sparkle that later helps the Saffron to thrive. Violet adds a smooth quality to the heart of this scent, which paves the way for the Rock Rose, which is smooth, warm and Ambery.
