This scent is a light and refreshing floral. The Mandarin brightens the gentle essence of the Peony, Lily of the Valley, and Cyclamen, almost making them sparkle. A faint hint of White Musk adds depth and longevity without weighing anything down. It feels innocent and gentle and slightly delicate, and subtly sweet. While it is a unisex, its floral nuance makes it lean slightly feminine. It’s a great scent for everyday, and a great choice for when you want something light. It can be worn any time, place, or occasion, and in any weather, but feels like a perfect fit for Spring and Summer. It has decent longevity, but has a more intimate feel and will stay closer to the skin. It has a vibe similar to something along the lines of, if Parfums de Marly Palatine and Ormonde Jayne Levant were blended into one fragrance.
Inspiration
Pure Vienne was inspired by the woman who captured the heart of Albert Fouquet, Annicke. It celebrates the energy and purity of new love, and Albert’s excitement for his meetings with Annicke in Vienna, her hometown.
Notes
Things start off fresh with the freshness of Mandarin boosting the lightness of the Peony and the Lily of the Valley. The floral tones almost feel like they’re dancing on the skin as they sparkle from the citrus essence. The Ivy Leaves add just the faintest hint of dewy depth, which pairs well with the watery essence of Cyclamen. Jasmine adds to the floral nuance of the overall scent, but mostly plays in the background while the other flowers shine. The White Musk adds a gentle, wispy, depth that keeps things lasting, and Driftwood adds some additionas warmth this is slightly airy.
