Rouge Smoking Extrait is a warm, Cherry, Amber scent created for Men and Women in 2024 by perfumers Amélie Bourgeois & Margaux Le Paih Guérin.
Review
This is the dark and twisted older sister to the Eau de Parfum version of Rouge Smoking. You still get hints of the Cherry and Almond notes, and a Milk Accord gives the overall aroma a warm and creamy quality, but the Extrait oozes mystery and sensuality with the darker essences of Martinique Rum Extract, Patchouli and Ambroxan. Where the Eau de Parfum version is playful and flirty, the Extrait is all business and seduction. This is a great going-out scent, great for date night, a cozy evening in with someone special, or anytime you want to feel seductive or alluring. It has been compared to Cherry Punk by Room 1015.
Inspiration
Rouge Smoking Extrait was created to explore the evocative side of the Gourmand fragrance. Inspired by Paris’ Pigalle District, it is intensely sensual and captivating.
Notes
Reminiscent of the Eau de Parfum counterpart, this scent begins with a hint of a sweet size. Cherry and Almond are brightened with Red Mandarin, Pink Peppercorn and Bergamot. A Milk Accord blends with Tonka Bean Absolute to bring a warm and creamy quality to the mix, which pair effortlessly with the resinous essences of Elemi, Peru Balsam and Labdanum. A dark and sultry vibe takes over with Ambroxan, Patchouli, and a Martinique Rum Extract standing out amongst Saffron, Oud Wood and Amber Woods. Cypriol adds a hint of an earthy quality, while Black Vanilla Absolute and Benzoin Resin keep the subtle sweetness lasting from start to finish.
