Royal Water is an aromatic, citrus, fresh spicy scent created for Men and Women in 1997.
Review
This scent has an effervescence to it that comes from the blend of citruses, and a blend of Peppermint and Verbena that nicely mimics the essence of Juniper. It has a slight soapy vibe to it, and an almost citrus-marine vibe, at the same time. It’s a great scent for anyone looking for something with a hint of Lemon to it. It is very refreshing and wearable for just about any time, place, or occasion. It can be worn in any season, but feels best suited for warmer weather. Its freshness will keep it close to the skin, but it will last for hours. It has been compared to Clive Christian’s 1872 Masculine.
Inspiration
Royal Water was created as a tribute to the young royals of the House of Windsor. Clean and vibrant, it is a balance of elegance and energy.
Notes
This scent starts off bright and invigorating with Bergamot, Clementine, Lemon, and Mandarin. Peppermint and Verbena mimic the essence of Juniper, which leads perfectly into a heart of spices. Cumin, Pepper, and Pink Berries mellow out the citrus essences, and a touch of Basil adds a faint earthy/herbally quality. Ambergris in the base adds a hint of warmth, and becomes slightly marine-like as the citruses dry down into it. Tonkin Musk adds a velvety essence that helps with longevity.
