Sissa is a Gourmand, Amber, warm scent created for Men and Women in 2023 by perfumer Christelle Laprade.
Review
This scent is toasty, warm, and sweet with a lactonic nature. Sesame gives a ‘toasted’ vibe to the mix, blending well with the Milk and Toasted Tonka Bean. Vanilla-like Coumarin and actual Vanilla are warmed with velvety Amber and a touch of standout Jasmine. It truly is a unique Gourmand unlike any other. It has a certain sensuality to it, as well as a calming and enveloping essence. It is a great scent for Fall and Winter, when so many things are scented like holiday treats. It will work in an office setting, but feels much better suited to Autumn adventures and cold afternoon snuggles. It smells something along the lines of Al Contrario from Tiziana Terenzi and Intense Cafe from Montale blended together.

Sissa was a mythical character from India who invented Chaturanga, the Indian predecessor of Chess.
Notes
The toasted elements come into play first…..Toasted Sesame and Toasted Tonka Bean. The warmth of the Ambrette deepens the Vanilla-like Coumarin and the Madagascan Vanilla, joined by a note of Milk, giving this scent an overall Lactonic vibe. Labdanum comes in at the base, adding warmth and boosting the Amber. Jasmine Sambac seeps its way in from the heart, muted gently with the warm notes, but standing about the cloud of sweetness. A final note of Musk adds a sultry quality to the overall blend.
