Volupte is a warm, floral, powdery scent created for Women in 1992 by perfumer Sophia Grojsman.
Review
This scent starts off sweet and ever-so-slightly powdery. The fruits and soft flowers slowly become warmed with Amber and Incense. Over time, a note of Vanilla brings the sweetness back around in a subtle way. It has a playfulness with a mature vibe. It is definitely something that can be worn in an office setting, but will work very well for date nights, or any time you want to feel sexy and pull all eyes in your direction. It has been compared to Lancome Tresor. Try this sample and let us know what you think!
Inspiration
Volupte means Voluptuous in French. It is a scent that was created to arouse the senses and pull you out of the mundane. It envelops you in pleasure and sensuality.
Notes
Mandarin and Melon begin this scent with a muted sweetness. The Melon, especially, is prominent for a few minutes, before being enveloped within a floral bouquet of Heliotrope, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley, and sweet Ylang Ylang. An additional blend of Mimosa and Carnation adds the softest touch of a powdery essence, just before the warmth starts to creep in from the base. Sandalwood, Amber, and Patchouli add warmth and depth while a hint of Incense adds a mysterious smoky quality. Final notes of Tuberose and Vanilla bring this scent full circle, adding a bit of playfulness back in.
