Creed Aventus is probably one of the most famous and most popular fragrances, maybe ever.
Even if you’ve never been able to smell it, you’ve probably heard of it.
Aventus was launched in 2010, Aventus For Her followed in 2016, then Aventus Cologne in 2018, and Absolu Aventus in 2025.
Because of the popularity of Aventus, it seems like most other fragrance houses have their own version, or dupe, of it.
If you like Aventus, but don’t want to smell like everyone else, or maybe just don’t want to pay that much for it, we have a few alternatives you can try.
Hacivat from Nishane - This scent is almost identical to Aventus. It has a blast of Pineapple that is boosted by the brightness of Grapefruit, with Patchouli, Woods and Moss that give it a gentle earthy vibe. It feels like Aventus, but better, with more depth and longevity.
J’Adoube from Mind Games - If Aventus had been made with Pomegranate instead of Pineapple, J’Adoube would smell identical. It has a bit more of a juicy essence to it since it’s paired with Red Currant and Mandarin, but then Amber, Leather and Patchouli give it depth and richness.
Orion from Tiziana Terenzi - This one is a cleaner and less aquatic alternative to Aventus. It opens with a blend of Pineapple, Apple, Red Currant and Bergamot, but it’s not too juicy or too sweet. The rest of the composition includes Patchouli, Birch, Thyme, Amber, Agar Wood, Musk and Cedar, giving the scent an earthy and fresh essence. Something about the composition makes the scent very gentle, kind of intimate, but still very long lasting. If you find Aventus to be a tad too sweet for you, this is your one to try.
Elysium Pour Homme from Roja - This scent is basically Aventus without its infamous Pineapple note. It blends lots of citrus notes, a couple of fruit notes, with a melange of flowers to create a lightness. A slight Fougere essence comes from Lavender, Juniper Berries, Vetiver, Cedar and Resins, and a bit of Amber and Leather help to add depth.
Elysium Eau Intense from Roja is very similar, but with an added note of Rhubarb for a nice sparkly pop.
There are a few honourable mentions that have a similar vibe but don’t necessarily smell like Aventus.
Awaken from Tumi - This one has the mellow aquatic essence going on, but kind of smells like a spicy Apple instead of bright and juicy Pineapple.
Percival from Parfums de Marly - This one has a woody aquatic vibe, blending citruses with Lavender, Geranium, spices and Balsam Fir. It’s super fresh and clean, and kind of Aventus adjacent.
Accento from Xerjoff - This one is kind of like a less sweet, more earthy scent that has facets like Aventus. It has Pineapple in its opening, but no other citruses or fruits to boost it. It instead unfolds into a blend of flowers, Vetiver, Patchouli, Amber and Vanilla. It kind of feels like maybe you were wearing Aventus, and it stayed on you while you were lost in the woods for a week…..
We’d love to hear your thoughts on other scents that you think smell like Creed Aventus.
These ones we’ve mentioned can all be found at Parfumerie Nasreen, in store and online.
