Creed Aventus.

Today it is known as one of the most popular fragrances for Men across the world, and something everyone wants to, and should, try at least once.

Aventus was created by perfumer Jean-Christophe Herault and Creative Director Erwin Creed.

Herault gained skill working at a laboratory in Grasse, training under his mentor, Pierre Bourdon, who has created many fragrances for the House of Creed.

Aventus was launched in 2010 as part of Creed’s 250th Anniversary, and is the best selling fragrance in the history of the brand. 

The name comes from the Latin language - “A” meaning “From” and “Ventus” meaning ‘Wind”, with Ventus actually being the name of a Roman Wind Deity.

It is also said that Aventus is derived from the word ‘Success’ in an ancient, un-named, language. In Latin, the full word ‘Aventus’ translates to ‘Event’, and it certainly is an event of a fragrance!

Aventus is said to be inspired by the dramatic life of war, peace, and romance of an infamous Emperor, and is made for the man who lives a driven life, always moving towards success with the wind at his back.

Creed Aventus is an energetic Fruity/Chypre scent for Men that blends fruits, most notably Pineapple and Green Apple, with a heart of Birch from Louisiana and Jasmine, and a warm base with Ambergris, Musk, Oakmoss, and a touch of sweet Vanilla. 

It is the quintessential scent for everyday wear for the man who craves luxury and sophistication with a casual flair.

In 2016 Aventus For Her was launched. It twists the original composition, taking a more feminine turn with the addition of Bulgarian and Turkish Roses, sweet Ylang-Ylang, and trading the Pineapple for a lush Peach Note.

Just a couple of years later, in 2018, Aventus Cologne was released. A refreshingly light version of the original scent, it takes a path following more zesty nuances with Ginger, Mandarin, and Vetiver. There is no Pineapple note, but the sweetness is still hinted at with Styrax and Tonka Bean in the base.
