The Roja Elysium Collection

The Roja Elysium Collection

The Roja Elysium Collection

We recently brought in the Roja Elysium Noir, which makes three masculine Elysium fragrances, and one feminine.

I thought this would be a great time to talk about the differences between each Elysium, as a sort of guide.

Elysium Pour Homme, formerly Elysium Parfum Cologne Pour Homme, is the original Elysium fragrance created in 2017. It’s a fresh, clean, aromatic fragrance with a sweet, semi-aquatic nuance. It’s a casually elegant scent with both sophisticated and playful qualities. It is a scent you can wear anywhere, from the office to school, to graduations, weddings, dates, running errands or doing nothing but you want to smell good. Elysium Pour Homme has a fresh opening with Lemon, Bergamot and Grapefruit, and a sweeter, fruity heart with Lily, Rose, Apple and Black Currant, and then gentle, earthy warmth in the base with Vetiver, Cedar, Juniper, Leather, Amber and Musk. It’s comparable to fragrances like Bleu de Chanel and Parfums de Marly Greenley; scents with fresh, sweet, fruity, juicy, aquatic tones.

Elysium Eau Intense was launched in 2023, and is a much more fresh, clean, airy, sparkly version of the original scent. It has an almost identical breakdown of notes, but has an added note of Rhubarb which adds a more sparkly, effervescent quality that makes everything pop. The Eau Intense has a bit more of a citrus-forward style, while the original stays a bit more sweet and soft. It feels a bit more casual than the original, but can easily be dressed up for any occasion. It’s comparable to fragrances like Imagination from Louis Vuitton and Percival from Parfums de Marly.

Elysium Noir is the newest Elysium scent, launched in 2025. This version is a little more dark, a little more sultry and a little more juicy than the original. With this scent, you still get the brightness of the citruses in the opening, but things get a little bit more intense in the dry down with the addition of Resins, Frankincense, Patchouli and Amber. Rose and Blackberry add a juicy, berry-like sweetness to the mix, that is almost mouth watering…but not in a gourmand way, a sexy way. This has a casual elegance to it, but its sultry essence feels better suited for occasions when you want to make an impression. It’s a great date night scent, and for anytime you want to feel attractive. It’s comparable to fragrances like Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif and Reflection Man from Amouage.

Elysium Pour Femme is the feminine version of the Elysium collection, launched in 2024. It’s a fresh, fruity, floral fragrance with a hint of a tart sweetness to it. You get Blackberry, Mandarin and Peach in the opening, followed by a heart of light, fresh flowers like Peony, Cyclamen, Freesia, Lily, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine, and then the dry down is delicately warm with notes of Cedarwood, Vanilla and Musk. This is a scent that is easy to wear, casual, elegant, carefree, bright and energetic, and can be worn pretty much any time, place or occasion. It is comparable to fragrances like Delina La Rosee from Parfums de Marly, Versace Bright Crystal and Creed Spring Flowers.

While we don’t carry the Parfum versions of the Elysiums, they likely have a minutely different style from their Pour Homme and Pour Femme counterparts.

You can find all of the above Roja Elysium fragrances at Parfumerie Nasreen, both in store and online. Try them for yourself and see which version suits you best.
